Timothy Tiah and Audrey Ooi are both co-founders of Colony Co-working Space and on this podcast, we discussed on their entrepreneurial journey, leadership styles and running the business as a couple.
Timothy Tiah is a well-known entrepreneur and co-founder of Nuffnang, one of Malaysia's first and largest digital advertising platforms, which he co-founded in 2007. With his background in tech and digital marketing, Tim transitioned into the co-working space industry, co-founding Colony Co-Working Space in 2017.
His experience in building a successful startup and leading teams was instrumental in shaping the vision and growth of Colony, which has since become one of Malaysia’s most recognized co-working brands.
Audrey Ooi, Tim’s wife and business partner, played a pivotal role in Colony’s success. Though she didn’t have a formal design background, Audrey took on the responsibility of creating Colony's unique, aesthetically pleasing workspaces, which became a hallmark of the brand. Her creative vision, combined with her entrepreneurial spirit, helped transform Colony into a premium co-working space that resonates with professionals seeking both functionality and beauty in their work environments.
Together, Timothy and Audrey have not only built Colony into a thriving coworking business but have also ventured into the F&B industry with Dough by Meg, a bakery designed to cater to the event spaces within their co-working locations.
Their journey has been marked by resilience, innovation, and a shared commitment to creating impactful businesses. Through their leadership, they have redefined what it means to build a company rooted in strong values, creative vision, and teamwork.
