In this podcast episode, Josiah shares inspiring stories on his journey on becoming a three-time Olympian, representing Malaysia in Athens 2004, Beijing 2008 and London 2012. Josiah talks about his passion for bicycles and how he pursued his dreams in a fairly traditional family from a young age. Josiah Ng (@josiahcyclist) is a retired Malaysian professional track cyclist turned speaker, coach, mentor, tech entrepreneur and brand advocate. He is the first Malaysian cyclist to have made it into the top 6 finalists of the Olympics three times, at the summer Olympics of Athens in 2004,Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012.
In 2004, Josiah was awarded the Malaysian Olympian and the Sportsman of the Year. In 2010, Josiah won gold in the Keirin at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi at the age of 30.
Josiah is acknowledged to have put Malaysia on the map as one of the best countries for developing world class track cyclists. His competing events were the (individual) keirin, sprintand team sprint with the keirin as his favourite event.
Josiah still remains active in the sport closest to his heart after retirement : he was the national coach for the Thai cycling team for the Asian Games 2018 taking them to a gold. He continues to guest ride at cycling events, he commentates for cycling competitions, he currently coaches a Malaysian state cycling team and he runs his cycling e-academy in Kuala Lumpur.
At retirement, Josiah moved on to be a tech entrepreneur with a start-up service of bringing chefs to one’s home, raising the level of home dining. He also takes the stage to share his years as a professional cyclist and what it takes to be a champion. He is a sought-after speaker and is often invited by corporations and associations as he is a natural engaging storyteller. ‘Unstoppable!’ is a bespoke series of coaching programmes and motivational talks which Josiah offers through Sports Empowered Sdn Bhd. Based on his many years as a winning 2 athlete with the struggles of losing, injury and doubt, ‘Unstoppable!’ focuses on how to develop the mindset of a champion, be it in one’s personal or work life or as a sportsman looking to attain the pinnacle of his athleticism.

At the age of 22, Datin Dian Lee (@dianwithlove) pursued her dream to become one of the youngest property developers in Malaysia founding The Clearwater Group with a like minded group of investors. The Clearwater Group is an award-winning boutique property development and lifestyle company. Setting out to build boutique homes that meld traditional property development with the modern needs of the urbanite as well as curating lifestyles that include F&B and Wellness brands.
Balancing her career as an entrepreneur and a mother of 3, Dian found herself in need of deeper meaning and purpose and embarked on a yoga teacher training in Bali in 2016.
The yoga teacher training gave Datin Dian a new outlook in life and inspired her to start her journey to what she calls a “conscious evolution”. Datin Dian believes that we all possess the potential to live our lives to the fullest by being who we truly are, with consciousness, courage and authenticity.
In 2018, Datin Dian saw a story that had to be documented and that led to the production of Malaysia’s first cinematic featured documentary called “M for Malaysia”. The film also became the country’s official submission for Best International Feature Film in the 92rd Academy Awards.
